And  eventually to make Han-Nom as a serious, modern, legitimate alternative writing system for the Vietnamese language.

-Như chúng ta được biết, hầu hết mọi quốc gia có quốc ngữ riêng thời hiện đại đều đã trải qua một cuộc cải cách đặt tiêu chuẩn cho chữ viết. Một hệ thống chữ viết để giao tiếp mà chưa được tiêu chuẩn hoá thì sẽ không thể dùng được.
 Tuy nhiên cho tới nay, Chữ Nôm vẫn chưa được tiêu chuẩn hoá, một từ tiếng Việt có thể được viết dưới nhiều dị thể chữ Nôm khác nhau, và mọi người dùng Chữ Nôm đều dựa trên lựa chọn của riêng mình. Kết quả là các văn bản Nôm có thể bị hiểu nhầm, và điều này chắc chắn sẽ dẫn đến sự thiếu hiệu quả và những hiểu nhầm trong giao tiếp.
